Rethinking the Future is an excellent read if you want a snapshot of what the latest management thinkers are telling us about how the 21st Century is changing the way we do business.

The book is a series of short articles by well known people such as Charles Handy, Michael Porter, CK Prahalad, Gary Hamel, Peter Senge and othes.  Each of the authors gives their own take on the future and what it means for businesses today.  It is split into 6 sections each dealing with one aspect of organisational management and leadership.  They are:

4. Rethinking Leadership
5. Rethinking Markets
6. Rethinking the World

It's a good book to read for the busy executive as it brings you up to speed in a snapshot with the consensus view of many leading voices across the world.  Of course you can then go on to read further by buying any author's publications as well, but this is a good start.
